Why would I want to work with a Recruiter?

Job hunting can be a full-time job and trying to balance your personal life along with looking for a new job can get quite stressful and frustrating. A relationship with a recruiter can help you in that the recruiter looks for the jobs for you and is currently kept up to date on what projects are out there. This in return helps reduce the added stress of looking for a job.

Whats the difference between me applying for the job online and going through a recruiter?

We have developed relationships with our clients for many years and because of this relationship with them we get your resume in front of the right people immediately. The online process can be lengthy and this portion is usually subcontracted out to a database firm where your resume gets put into the database. The firm’s inhouse recruiter will then search that database based on the resumes they have received. This process is lengthy and your resume may not be reviewed by the right people who make the decisions. Further being represented by a recruiter states that you are a top quality talent.

What should a candidate expect during the interview process?

A candidate should expect to have the ARM recruiting consultant working with the candidate fairly closely during the Interview phase all the way to the salary negotiation phase. This process can be timely and the candidate will want to keep the lines of communication open. Expect to be called on lots because we are a mediator between you and the client.

As a candidate isn’t it faster to talk with the client myself rather than having to go through the recruiter to get information?

As recruiters we have spent years in the field of learning the art of negotiation and therefore can better negotiate your salary for you along with things like relocation allowance and benefits. At the end of the day Employers trust us to give them the final word and we as recruiters can help candidates make that final decision.
